  The 2 stars here are mainly for the Lady B high street store. Had the experience kept to the same standard at the partner store, Celebration Services in Kempston, then this probably would have been a 5 star review. First off my experience in Lady B (which as far as I know has now moved from the Bedford high-street location to the store in Kempston). The two ladies that served me were great, patient, attentive and gave me the time to really be sure of my choice. They were respectful of my budget and really honest when a dress didn't look right, which was what I wanted. After finding the dress of my dreams that fit perfectly apart from the hem, I asked the price of alterations and so on. Here I was told that the dress would be stored at Celebration Services for free and their in house seamstress would alter the dress for around £70. I paid for my dress and left the shop incredibly happy. Now here is where it unfortunately went wrong. I went for my fitting where I was informed that more than just the length needed altering. The top button of the dress was to also be tightened and cups added. All this came to a staggering price of £175, at which point I could not turn down as I had the dress stored there and would have had to pay. I thought at this price though that nothing could go wrong if it meant that my dress would fit even more perfectly than it all ready did. Fast forward to a week before my wedding where I went to pick up my dress and try it on again. The length, still slightly too long, all though this didn't bother me. The main problem was the back of my dress, brought in by an entire 2 inches (not just the button that was meant to be done). A button was also missing and the detailing on the back no longer matched up along the zip, the waist was the same width as my back. I could not breathe and was appalled, I left with my dress and took it to an emergency seamstress, I will note that they did offer to loosen the top of the dress, but at this point I only had a week left and the trust was gone. The emergency seamstress discovered more faults in the sewing quality. I was lucky to get the major errors repaired. If you do decide to buy from here (the dresses are beautiful), then I would strongly advise to leave the same day with your dress and find an alternative seamstress. £175 is a huge amount to pay, especially when the final result was a dress that was nearly completely ruined.
